Our Weekly Thought – March 23 - 29, 2020

Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones in the coming week’s 1st Lesson (Ezekiel 37:1-14) notes that God’s people are desperate, despondent and lonely for God’s presence. God reassures Ezekiel that the people’s feelings of abandonment are not founded in fact. God is with them. When we feel abandoned and desperate, it is helpful to remember that feelings are not all there is to life. God’s presence is deeper, wider, fuller, truer than we can discern. Find ways this week to reach out to neighbors who need a reminder of God’s love: a phone call; a gift of food. Be creative. Be joyful in the Lord.
