Trinity Today

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Washington Island (ELCA) is a community church that is inclusive, welcoming, and caring. Christ’s spirit prevails.

There is profound welcome in God’s love and care for all of us and our world. Because God loves us, we are compelled to faithfully live out the Good News of Jesus Christ for the sake of each other, our Washington Island community, and the world.

We are a Christian community called and empowered by the Holy Spirit to grow:

- in vibrant worship and music

- in faithful Christian Education for all ages

- in care for each other, physically, spiritually, and emotionally

- in fellowship with each other and our Washington Island community

- in local and global outreach

We welcome every person as God does - with no exceptions. We gather and grow in faith in engaging worship and Christian education. We invite all to join our work for a more just, loving, and caring community and world.

The ELCA is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with more than 4 million members. Together with nearly 10,000 other congregations, our ministry includes: 28 Lutheran colleges and universities, 8 seminaries, 450 world-wide missionaries, one of the largest non-profit social service networks in the United States, and Lutheran World Relief.

Whether you are a long time or recent resident, a summer or one-time visitor, we welcome all people to join us in worship, for service, and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Trinity’s Mission Statement
