Jesus was amazed that a foreigner would have such faith that he knew Jesus’ words alone were sufficient for healing (Luke 7:9). Who do you seek out for healing? In what ways have you found healing in your life or for someone you love? In what ways has healing been partial or not yet occurred?
In this portion of Jesus' intercessory prayer, Jesus doesn't pray that we be kept from the world. Rather, that we be protected while in it. Knowing that God is with us while engaged in the events of our time and day has made many believers fearless in their lives and callings. May we likewise become courageous in the face of real danger, wherever we encounter it.
