Jesus was amazed that a foreigner would have such faith that he knew Jesus’ words alone were sufficient for healing (Luke 7:9). Who do you seek out for healing? In what ways have you found healing in your life or for someone you love? In what ways has healing been partial or not yet occurred?
If we are counting seeds, the sower in this parable (Matthew 13:1-9) seems hopelessly wasteful. Our job is – apparently – to sow God’s word often, far and wide, extravagantly, and leave the worry and the gift of growth to God. Our efforts in the Lord can yield unimaginably great results.
