Jesus was amazed that a foreigner would have such faith that he knew Jesus’ words alone were sufficient for healing (Luke 7:9). Who do you seek out for healing? In what ways have you found healing in your life or for someone you love? In what ways has healing been partial or not yet occurred?
Mark 1:35 describes Jesus getting up very early in the morning, long before dawn, in order to pray. The author Henri Nouwen in his book Out of Solitude declares that it is in conversation with God that Jesus is able to hear God’s voice and not his own, and so follow God’s will and not his own. Make time for prayer and silence before God this week.
